Participants will examine Oligocene-Miocene outcrop successions of NW Borneo which are the equivalents of major petroleum-bearing accumulations in the adjacent offshore.

Itinerary:
Day1 | Participants travel to Miri. |
Day2 | Field excursions around Miri to examine deltaic deposition. Travel to Brunei in the afternoon. |
Day3 | Visit Berakas Syncline outcrop. Travel to Labuan. |
Day4 | Field excursions around Labuan to examine slope and shelf depositional systems. |
Day5 | Field excursions around Labuan to examine slope and shelf depositional systems. Travel to Kota Kinabalu. |
Day6 | Field excursions around Kota Kinabalu to examine deepwater depositional system. |
Day7 | Participants travel to Bangkok. |

Field-trip Fee: 100,000 THB
Field-trip registration fee covers hotel stay for all field-trip nights, transportation during field trip, excursion guide book, flight tickets and free pre-field lecture during 19-22 November 2019 at Department of Geology, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.
